There are many advantages to a custom tour, as it allows you to go where you want, with whom you want, and when you want. Cost is also an important consideration. If you have the spare change, we can take you via helicopter into some AWESOME places to hike and stay (see photos below). Or, if you want to save some money and stay in more rustic accommodation, no problem. We can get you to some stunningly located long drops! : )

Do you prefer gentle strolls or invigorating hikes? It’s your tour, so you set the pace. We help you develop a tour around your schedule and according to your wishes. You decide the type of accommodations (upgrades or more rustic options), the difficulty level of the walks/hikes, and of course where and when you want to travel. We do everything else for you so you don’t have to worry about anything, before or during your tour.

We can do a one-day tour for you, or we can do the "Full Kiwi", and pretty much string together all of our hikes starting from the Endeavour Bay in the Marlborough Sounds and take you all the way down to Queenstown via Kaikoura, the Port Hills, Akaroa and Bank Peninsula, South Canterbury High Country, Tekapo, Wanaka, Arthurs Point, and Skippers. That would be some tour! Or, we can propose other elements that we have not listed on our website.

Here is a classic example of one component of a private, customized tour – with a little problem-solving thrown into the mix. The photos you see below are from an emergency Plan B we had to come up with in February 2020 during our two-week tour of the South Island when the last three days of our scheduled activity were literally washed out by a major weather event in Southland. The workaround was pretty fantastic, if I say so myself: the exclusive use of a luxury private hut looking straight across at Mount Aspiring. An alpine guide accompanied us for two days and two nights to this magical place. In any event, if you want something extra special, just let us know, and we will deliver.
